I've called a couple of times to clear up some problems. When I started to find that it sure would make life easier if I had a manual, I called Photodex and they told me there was none-use the help screen and call if I needed further assistance. I purchased my ProShow Gold online, i.e., I downloaded the program and was sent a key to unlock it. I find it very interesting that you have a manual. Does anyone know if there is oneĪvailable online or if one came with the demo? Thanks. I downloaded the demo of ProShow Gold and I'm trying to see if There is a lot of good information on the help screen but a manual Referred me to the help screen and to call in with any questions. When I purchased ProShow Gold a few weeks ago, I asked Photodex if When I got my copy of proshow it came with a manual in the box.Īre they no longer including one? I cant imagine they would stop The manual any good - is it worth the extra $10? Thanks. The help screens can't be printed either. Is a manual that comes with the boxed version, but none with theĮlectronic version. I just got an email back from Photdex that says there $10? The box is worth it to me, but I wouldnt say it was an essential thing to have with this program. (Losing registration keys is way too easy when you dont have something like a box to put it in.) Newer models are much better than older models.I found the manual very sparse and not necessary (mainly because the program is pretty easy to figure out without the manual.) I got the box mainly to have something that I keep all of the registration information in so when I need to find it later I can. They are less than $50.00 for a Mad Dog which seems to work very well. Lastly, as was suggested prior, get a new DVD burner. Stay away from cheap store brand DVD's and stay with quality DVDs such as Verbatim. The dyes used are different and some DVD player's laser is not really tuned to the color of the dye layer. I would also suggest changing brands of DVD's. The latest version does not seem to suffer from the problem but I am also using a much faster PC. These two options have been problematic in the past with Proshow, especially including the original files. Next is to NOT include the original files on the DVD and turn off PC autorun. Say what? I can burn a complete DVD slideshow of 20 minutes duration in under an hour. It was stated that the ISO was created overnight. These DVD's have played in a DVD player that is cheap and more than 7 years old. I use +R with no problems with the latest version of Proshow Gold.
